About Me
Geetika Sharma is from the greater San Diego area currently living in Long Beach, CA. She graduated from UC San Diego Spring 2021 with a Cognitive Science major with a specialization in Design and Interaction and a minor in Ethnic Studies. She believes the greatest design comes from those in an empathetic standpoint.
Along with UX/UI experience, Geetika also has experience in UX copywriting, project coordination and non-profit work. She aims on focusing on disadvantaged groups in her work and hones in on designing for diversity. She enjoys working from a care-based perspective, and works at affordable housing nonprofit Linc Housing in expanding their brand via design and communication. Her previous work experience includes interning for a non-profit called License to Freedom, which focuses on helping local refugees/immigrants out of situations of domestic violence. She has also worked with organizations such as Viasat, The Oakland Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and The SD Town and Country Learning Center. Since March of 2020, she has started growing her own garden and has become immensely fond of the color green.
